In Nigeria, most people from age 30-100 do not get the reason and style behind wearing distressed/ripped jeans. I went to the market and a man shouted from afar “you should have torn all your clothes”. I replied to him, mind your business”. People tend to see you as bad or sluty wearing ripped jeans in Nigeria. Honestly, all I see are pretenders looking for people to judge and feel more righteous than.

People are mostly judged by the physical which is not bad but it is one of the biggest contributing issues we are facing in Nigeria. People want to feel better than you just because they are dressed in a certain way which they think is more appropriate than yours. Religious nation yet so envious of each other. Most times, when I go out wearing ripped jeans more than 4 people seem to have issues with it but one question they fail to ask themselves is whose body is the jeans on?. Well, this doesn't affect me in any way because I don't pay attention to such people I wear what suits me.

Giving that I mostly wear Ankara prints that are formal I decided to pair this cold should top with my ripped jeans instead of just pairing it with the skirt that matches it.

Dinner dates are fun. You get to spend quality time with someone whose company you like, there is almost always good food involved, and overall you feel loved and appreciated; what's not to love about them. However, an aspect of dinner dates that most of us do not look forward to is dressing up for dinner. Whether it is a first date or a routine thing with your partner of years, dressing up for a date can be quite nerve-wracking. It can be such a challenge to get the dress code right. If you are headed to a formal setting, the rules are pretty simple: be fancy. The trickiest dinner dates to dress up for are those that are more casual.

The question that leaves us scratching our heads is how casual? If you ask us, casual means PJs. But then you cannot go to a date in PJs (unless you want to, obviously. You do you, boo.) Since the concept of casual clothing is so vague and diverse, it helps to follow a guideline. If you are someone who tends to hyperventilate at the idea of dressing up for a date, this is for you. Dates should be a stress-free experience. Here are eight excellent not-so-fancy dresses that you can wear to a dinner date. Let's get started.

1) Statement yet chic in coloured pants

Coloured pants are bold, outgoing, and beautiful. They are perhaps the simplest way in which you can elevate a basic ensemble. Casual clothing can be quite tough to get right. Coloured pants are a unique garment that can be sported in an array of social settings. If you generally shy away from colours, this is your chance to take the big leap. When it comes to styling coloured pants, the best way to do so is with something neutral-toned, like a plain tee, a crisp button-down shirt, or a monotone blouse. The perfect amalgamation of fun and outgoing yet fashion savvy and chic, you can never go wrong with coloured pants.

I will always pick baggy or boyfriend Jeans over skinny Jeans. I mean the comfort feels so good. Boyfriend Jeans are a must have, they got the best comfy fit with an ultra relaxed vibe.
By the way I am wearing my Man's Tee from Bershka  and Over-sized denim pant from  Contradenim. It is an under size for him and but over-size for me. My belt did most of the work for the Jeans. I don't think I am returning this pieces back to him.
Happy Monday Beautiful People. Wishing you a lovely and less stressful week. Distressed Jeans is versatile, and comes in a huge variety of colors and styles. Whether it's winter or summer, denim has a place in my wardrobe throughout the entire year.
So I put together this look to show you how you can wear your distressed jeans in winter, ways to incorporating the fishnet socks trend also.

Before wearing your distressed jeans, layer in with two thick panty hose, Then wear your fishnet socks and lastly your Jeans. Choose a color of fishnet socks that will fit your outfit to avoid looking funny while trying to be stylish.
We're here to talk about one of the most timeless pieces in one's wardrobe. Blue jeans? You guessed it. The magic of the perfect pair of jeans is undeniable. Not only is that ideal staple extremely adaptable and can be dressed up or down, but it also has an A+ cut that adds ease and effortlessness to any offer.

Nothing better embodies American fashion than denim. Indeed, we're prepared to wager that no other source material can conjure up ideas of Americana and its fabled subcultures quite like this one: Greasers, cowboys, hippies, rappers, and rockers—they've all placed their own unique mark on the same staple, and we're just as attached, if not more so, to our own interpretations of denim (and what to wear with jeans).

Sure, you may have a favourite pair of blue jeans, but if you're wanting to add a new pair to your collection or want to try something new, we've compiled a list of the best blue jeans for you below. The silhouettes in question are popular among fashion editors and shoppers alike. Basically, many of the brands in question are covered by members of our crew, and the designs are also front-runners, as they're frequently rated four stars or higher by reviewers.

Most mass-production denim companies are continually looking for ways to create a less expensive product. While this saves you money, it also creates inconsistencies in size, fit, and fabric. Many people choose to buy designer denim simply to avoid this. Designers will use the same fabrics and techniques year after year to provide a consistent product. From the fabric itself to sewing methods and design, designer jeans are typically the best quality jeans you can buy. While other denim companies use cheap materials and cut and sew the pants in mass, designer denim is made of the best fabrics, and most are cut and sewn individually. Designer jeans will usually last much longer than other jeans without fading or wearing out, even if they're worn nearly every day. So here is one best choice for you.

If there’s one shoe we can’t live without, it’s the bootie. Practical for cooler months, comfy enough to rock all day or night, and versatile enough to work with a wide range of ensembles, it’s a must-have style in every girl’s wardrobe.

Not just one pair will do, either. W — with a variety of heel heights, hues, toe shapes, materials, and embellishments, we like having more than one option, especially depending on the look we’re going for. In short,: You can never have too many booties

While compiling your Christmas list, you’ll surely want to include some footwear to get you through the dreary remainder of winter. And we can’t think of a better item to add than some new booties, which can carry you through the cold months, well into a spring transition.

When winter is approaching, it’s time to take a peek inside your closet. Naturally, with cooler temperatures on the way, you’re going to be swapping out your sandals, lightweight summer dresses, and shorts for warmer apparel, like sweater tops and stylish booties.

Cold weather doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t still look chic, either. In fact, wintertime offers some unique opportunities for creative layering. And who doesn’t like an excuse to invigorate their wardrobes with some new pieces?

If you’re ready to rotate your closet over for the winter months, make sure to incorporate these key staple pieces. To boot, we’ve included some style tips on how to wear them, no matter the occasion.

Sweater tops
It doesn’t get much cozier than a sweater in winter — and the good news is, you can still look super stylish wearing one.

Consider a sweater with shoulder cutouts, which has a vibe that’s subtly sultry but still casual enough for daytime, especially with patterned leggings and flat booties.

A simple V-neck sweater gets a spunky upgrade with lace-up detailing at the top — and all you need are skinny jeans and over-the-knee boots to pull the whole look together.

Don’t overlook a simple wide-sleeved cardigan, either. Wear it open over a long-sleeved knit top with rolled up faded jeans and pointy flats, and then top it all off with some simple crystal or pearl stud earrings. It’s a combo that manages to be both classic and contemporary.

Dressy leggings
Who says leggings are just for the gym? Sure, this piece is perfect for lounging, but in the right fabrics and with the right details, they can be downright dressy.

Colored leggings, for example, have a little more intrigue than basic black. For the winter months, consider a pair in burgundy, eggplant, or deep green. They’re stunning even with a long, slouchy sweater or blouse in a soft hue like cream, taupe, or gray. Top it all off with a belted wool coat and some ankle boots for a totally on-trend look.

There’s nothing wrong with neutral leggings, either. Black is a stellar staple to have in your closet because it’s obviously ultra-versatile. You can make black leggings look instantly elegant with a lace top and pointy pumps, or dress them down with a floral blouse and flats. The bottom line is that you’re bound to get a lot of wear out of them.

Charcoal gray is slightly less dramatic than black, and also an ideal pick for winter. Gray leggings look phenomenal with graphic tees and slip-on sneakers for a more casual look, but can also be dressed up with a white silk tunic and crimson platform heels, for example.

This winter, seek out a pair or two of leggings that have some subtle detailing on them, which have a little added visual interest. Studs, embroidery, and distressed slits or tears all make for an edgier pair of leggings that you can sport with a graphic T-shirt and blazer to strike a compromise between professional and rock ’n’ roll.

Booties
If there’s one style of shoe you’re going to want a pair (or three) of this winter, it’s booties. This EMPIRE POINTED TOE ANKLE BOOTS IN PINK GLITTER is the perfect gift for Christmas.

They’re practical in the colder months for obvious reasons, but they’re also super cute with a wide variety of ensembles. Plus, they come with an endless array of heel heights, toe shapes, materials, and details, so you’re bound to find a pair that works for every outfit and occasion.

You can’t beat a flat brown leather bootie with distressed jeans and an oversized scarf for the ultimate low-key daytime outfit. On the other hand, suede booties in charcoal gray or jet black look stunning with a sweater dress, opaque tights, and a statement necklace — and that’s an ensemble you can easily wear to work at a casual office or on a date.

You’ll also find that moto booties add an edge to just about anything, whether gray leggings and a tunic or a cowl-neck top and a midi skirt.

Velvet tops
There’s no doubt that velvet just oozes winter charm. So this season, embrace the luxe fabric with some new velvet tops, which give any ensemble a dose of understated glamour.

We love a long-sleeved off-the-shoulder velvet top with black skinny jeans and wedges for date night or drinks with your girlfriends, or a velvet cardigan with a basic tee and boyfriend jeans for a more laid-back, yet still fashion-forward outfit.

A flutter-sleeved velvet T-shirt has a romantic look, peeking out from under a wool parka. Pair it with leather leggings for an edgy vibe, or gray denim for a softer look.

Tunics
Talk about versatility! Depending on the length, a tunic can be worn as a top or a dress, layered over hosiery or leggings, and worn for chill daytime activities, as well as dressier evening affairs.
During winter, go for a tunic in a soft hue like dusty mauve, purple, or mocha — crochet trim or floral lace along the neck or sleeves will add even more femininity to this piece. You can sport it over leggings or tights with slouchy suede boots for a boho look, or with nude pumps when you’re going out at night.

A velvet tunic with long bell sleeves has a subtle ‘70s feel, but it feels instantly modern when worn with wedge boots and textured tights.

Florals aren’t just for spring and summer. Go ahead and slip on a tunic with a flower print — with a black, navy, or otherwise dark background, it’s still seasonally appropriate. Then pair it with knee-high riding boots and an infinity scarf, and you’re ready to roll.

There’s a reason why Southern women are associated with grace, charm, and beauty: they almost always look effortlessly put-together. But what exactly differentiates their style from the rest of the country? And how can anyone emulate it?
With a firm grasp on your fashion sensibilities, you can shop like a Southern gal in no time. Whether you’re a recent transplant to anywhere from Louisiana to Tennessee, or living elsewhere in the country entirely, read on to learn the basics of the style below the Mason-Dixon line.
Party Dresses
Between sorority soirées, tailgate parties, and débutante balls, Southern women lead very active social lives. (And yes, they still get glammed up for gem day). As a result, they’re bound to have more than a few party dresses in their closets for these occasions.
These dresses may vary a lot in colour, cut, and fit, but given the hot climate, are very often sleeveless or short-sleeved, and hit at the knee or above. Bohemian sundresses are particularly popular for laid-back affairs, as are styles that have a fitted bodice, and fuller skirts for more formal fetes.
Note that Southern women don’t shy away from colour, either: They don’t necessarily play it safe with a little black dress at the cocktail hour.
Blazer
Crafted from cotton and polyester, the fabric is soft and smooth, the blazer with long sleeves features small stand up collar, button closure, striped motifs, and flap pockets. Wear it with a shoulder bag to go to work.
A more modest woman might opt for a navy blue A-line dress. With a classic cut and a high neck, it’s still somewhat traditional, but the sheer back with floral lace adds a touch of flirtation.
On the other hand, a more fashion-forward woman might go for a tank dress with a peek-a-boo neckline, which is on-trend and perfect for slightly more casual shindigs. And a daring gal could surely sport a frock in a vibrant hue like fire-engine red, with a lace-up top, and eye-catching crochet trim.
Denim jacket

Whether you are transitioning into the cold weather or into the warm, hot summer weather a denim jacket is always needed. There are countless ways to wear and style a denim jacket in fall 2020. Any pieces made with denim automatically become a timeless piece. Denim can not go out of style. Denim and jeans are part of our everyday look for both formal and informal events. They have made their way to different fashion evolution and generation. Denim happens to be one of the oldest clothing fabric still being worn and used in the modern fashion world.
