Everything

Bounce rate is all about traffic analysis. It is defined as the amount of time spent on your website, how many activities were done by the visitor. Bounce rate is calculated by counting the number of single-page visits and dividing that by the total visits.  It is then represented as a percentage of total visits.

When trying to generate traffic knowing your bounce rate is very important because it shows you how well your content is doing. If your contents are engaging, solving issues and giving out pieces of information visitor needs and are searching for.

Your bounce rate is calculated by how much time and activity a person does spend when they visit your website. When visitors visit your website and leave without performing any action like clicking on the links, images, sharing, buying i, terms, or taking a survey.

If you are a marketer then knowing your bounce rate is very important because a high bounce rate impacts your revenue and business in general.

Generating traffic to gain money is the way to go. Read and share these helpful tips that will help you generate paid organic traffic. There are ten ways to generate paid traffic in 2021.

Before you go further, is Google Adsense or any other Ad unit running on your website? if no you need to set up Google Adsense to be able to main money.

Revamp old articles
Some articles got lots of views and then you know that people are searching for that type of article. You can revamp that article by writing a similar article and also adding the same points and more.

Linking articles to articles
Always add the link to your previous article to give more clarity to readers and for easy useability. When you add a link to an article the user clicks thereby gaining more traffic,  recording more user time and less bounce rate.

Let me start by encouraging everyone in Nigeria who uses Twitter for business to stay positive and strong. Buhari and his thug followers will not bring us back to a military regime.

If you are in Nigeria and you own a Twitter account you might be hearing a lot about using VPN to connect to your Twitter account.

What is VPN?
A virtual private network (VPN) extends a private network across a public network and enables users to send and receive data across shared or public networks.

The best VPN's for improving your online privacy and security that you can use for free are:

It is not new that the lockdown is hitting hard on our finances. Acting smart and doing what can profit you in the right way, keep money flowing into your account is the smartest move to make. It doesn't matter how small because that little accumulates into usable funds.
I am sharing 8 practical ways you can generate income during the lockdown. Be very patient to build on whichever you decide to go for.

8 PRACTICAL WAYS TO MAKE MONEY DURING THE LOCKDOWN

1. Convert your shop to an ATM

In the life of a working mom or dad, flexibility is key. And in the life of a sometimes-work-from-home working mom or dad, technology is the reason I can be flexible. Sometimes my kid gets sick, or I need a plumber to come to fix the toilet. I’m lucky to have a job that lets me work remotely, in an age where videoconferencing is an acceptable way of staying on track with the day’s meetings.

But videoconferencing isn’t always easy. The kids climb on you, the dog barks, there’s background noise … you get the idea. I’ve had some embarrassing moments and made plenty of mistakes, but I’ve learned a few things along the way. Here are my tips for successful videoconferencing from home. (Got more tips? Mention @gsuite on Twitter.)

Tip #1: Choose the right environment
When I want to talk through a complex issue or brainstorm ideas, video calls are more efficient than chat or email. They also help me get to know teammates in different time zones. But when you're on a call, give some thought to what’s around you, such as the backdrop (choose a plain wall, and avoid windows that will provide too much backlight), and if you have a laptop, put it somewhere steady. I once did an entire video call with my laptop on my … well, lap—and at the end, the other participant told me that the subtle wobbling of the screen was extremely distracting.

Reading is very important and a lot of bloggers have missed that. Each time bloggers go searching for a particular solution about how to improve their blog, they find lots of articles, some well written while some without any proper answer.

Read in between lines
Some bloggers do not get the best out of articles shared to improve their blog because instead of taking time to read and understand what the writer has written before the solution, they go straight to the solution hoping to get the best. Most times it all ends up in getting a poor result. Writers who teach a particular skill tend to share important tips/pieces of information before sharing the answer to what you are looking for that gives you a clear and wider insight on how to use that content and channel it in the right direction.

Multiple tab opening promotes improper reading and anxiousness
When you search on google about a particular topic, and all the possible solution to what question you are searching for comes up, don't open more than one tab at a time from the search result. Opening lots of tabs make you read in a not detailed way. It makes you read really fast, you jump into the next article and sometimes you end up not getting the best solution. Find the topic that best suits what you are looking for and read through properly. If you are not getting what you need close that tab before opening another one. It helps reduces anxiousness, this is a very practical reading solution.

Use your google dictionary
Don't rush the article, check the meaning of words that you are not familiar with. Quickly use google dictionary or Wikipedia to search for the meaning of any word you don't understand or know the meaning.

Click on those links
I know some website insert too many links while trying to give out needed information but believe me in between lies the answer to what you are looking for.  Click on the links and read the articles also. Remember, no knowledge is lost and it is a win-win situation.

The comment section has solutions
Check the comment section. Read through the comments to see if anyone was able to get a solution from the article shared. If they left their website link or any form of contact. Contact them and find out more.

Test before sharing
When you read about a subject or blogging solution make sure you have used it practically before sharing it to your audience. There are lots of empty contents online about getting traffic and we just happen to click on it each time we search on google about how to generate traffic because they used the right keywords.

There is always a free solution shared by somebody online, all you need to do is carefully read and apply what you have read to get results.

So we all know that traffic is one of the biggest targets of a blog or website owner. This is a major challenge for so many bloggers and we can all relate to it. Ever since google plus shut down, it's been a bit difficult to find a similar open free platform with high traffic that you can easily share your articles on. I went ahead and began to search if I can find a platform like/similar to Google plus because I used Google plus a lot and it worked really well for me, same with other bloggers. There are lots of social and article sharing platforms to share your articles and blog posts on but none can ever be as good as Google plus. Google plus has been shut down but it was indeed a very brilliant platform.

Photo by Canva Studio from Pexels

Google plus was open to everyone and it had a high Seo ranking. We didn't need to log in to view or access articles and all shared articles were also linked to top search engines. There was also a setup for automated share, immediately you share your blog post it automatically shares on google plus and since it was a busy platform the articles kept receiving lots of views daily. Now it's gone and people are searching for a better platform to share articles. Instagram isn't the best place to share an article, that isn't even the purpose of Instagram, it is more a photo app and marketing platform so you need to have a very high influence to be able to get a good number of clicks. Meanwhile, Instagram doesn't open your website on a browser it opens directly on Instagram so I doubt if the traffic coming from Instagram actually counts.

Google plus shut down

Factors are limiting the traffic gain to your blog and these are the factors you need to put into consideration and correct.

Be your number 1 content promoter: Some bloggers find it difficult to share their articles. The competition in the google ranking market is so high and you have to do your best to get your articles to the right audience. What's the aim of writing an article that won't get to the right audience? Getting traffic means putting much effort into sharing your content. You are the boss of the content and so share as many times as you can. Encourage your friends to share your articles on any social platform they are registered on.

Understanding the reason why your website has little or no traffic is a step to solving your poor traffic issue. Share as many times as you can to different social platforms. Joining good social platforms is very important. Some platforms do not permit direct sharing but instead, they ask that you submit the article for review before it is published. If you have to do that make sure you insert lots of clickable links that will re-direct readers back to your website.

Copywrite is a killer: Write your article and always check for Plagiarism. If you copy and paste the content that doesn't belong to you or let us just call it what is it, steal content you are harming your blog or website searchability. Write original content, be creative with your words, and post title. Most people in the blogging business share fashion tips and lifestyles but there are lots of topics yet to be shared. Do not underrate the title of your article, write it down as it comes. It should be unique so when readers visit your blog they read a catchy post title that makes them click on the next post.

Be patient, you are doing just fine. Be informed that traffic grows with time and that is why your choice of word is very important. In other words, using unique searchable words, catchy descriptions, top-ranking keywords, top trendy topic searches, following seasonal trends is totally required to influence the traffic drive to your blog over time. Some articles do not skyrocket immediately some take time and then boom it's receiving thousands of views per day. These are seasonal articles.

Copycat blogger: There are lots of copycat bloggers. It is not wrong to copy the writing style of another blogger as far as you aren't hurting anyone but what happened to be unique? Learn from others but create space for creativity. Some bloggers tend to copy the writing style of another blogger but what you don't know is that sometimes it is better to be original at grade one than appear to be in grade 2 without a proper clue as to what you are doing there. People want to visit your website and read your articles and feel the authenticity of it, not when they read your article it feels similar to another blog they always visit.

Share your article on different social platforms: Monitor the structure of a platform before joining and sharing your article. When you join a social platform or before using any social media platform to share your article, always understand the structure of that social platform and how it works. Monitor usage preference such as do people share more travel content here? is this a DIY network? or a general platform for sharing just any kind of article? This helps you share the right article to the right audience who will, in return, click to view the shared article, thereby increasing your traffic.

Note: Posting regularly increases your traffic.

Learning sharing patterns:  The are specific sharing tactics to help encourage clickability. Are you aware that different social platforms and follower base require a particular sharing system and pattern to promote your article and increase the number of clicks? The tactics to improve your blog traffic and increase your readers is by sharing and using the right keywords, hashtags and for example,
*Sometimes it is better to share an article title alongside the link only.
*Post a few catchy words and the link.
Or
*Post half of the article to get readers engaged and put a link for them to continue reading.

Here are different social platforms to join that will help increase your traffic.

*Pay good attention and read carefully*.

Medium: Before joining a social platform read about it and check how many visitors it gets in a month. I don't advise joining platforms that have premium and free versions. I joined medium for free even tho it has its premium version but I realized that the content about (HOW NZU AFFECTED MY SKIN AND MENSTRUAL CYCLE) which I shared on the medium platform is still generating views back to my website.

Feedspot: Feedspot features all websites and blogs in one place. It rates and ranks blogs from a particular country. For example, if a brand is looking for bloggers from Nigeria, feedspot shows a list of all the bloggers available and registered on their platform making it easy for bloggers to get reached out by brands.
For traffic, feedspot comes in handy in search that patterns people searching for blogs/bloggers/websites from a particular location. Feedspot also automatically shares your content. It shows your post frequency, how many articles you share in a week. You can add your blog, tho it also has a premium version.

Note: You have to request to add your website or blog. You can add your blog under any country of your choice. For example, look at Top 50 blogs in South Africa.

Here is a picture showing how you can add your blog.

Feedspot

Me.we.com is a social platform for sharing different articles. It is just like Facebook.
There are open and closed groups you can share your article with. I just started using it.

Late last year, google+ announced that they will be shutting down due to lack of funds and activeness. They sent emails to different users using the google plus comment platform. At first, it was a pretty active platform with lots of groups created connecting millions of people. Google plus wasn't so active anymore, and decided to shut down which I think will help google focus more on updating blogger to have a better optimization and updated usage.

Why your comments are missing?
Google plus sent emails with download links giving everyone the opportunity to download your database from google plus and stating that If you've used Google+ for comments on your own or other sites, this feature will be removed from Blogger by February 4th and other sites by March 7th. All your Google+ comments on all sites will be deleted starting April 2, 2019. Learn more

READ THE FULL ANNOUNCEMENTYOUR PERSONAL GOOGLE+ ACCOUNT IS GOING AWAY ON APRIL 2, 2019.

PS: I changed my comment system from google plus to blogger last year when I saw the message and all google plus comments are no more visible on my blog. You can not get back your comments. All you need to do is continue from here using the blogger comment system or any other commenting system you choose to use. It's so sad and hard but within months your website will look interactive again.

What to do
Simply change back to blogger commenting system if you haven't.
Note:  that all your google plus comments will be lost and have already been deleted doesn't matter if you change or not, it doesn't exist anymore.

Step 1
How to change back to blogger comment system:
Currently the option to choose between blogger commenting system and google plus comment system is no longer available on your blog setting. Google has automatically updated every blogger user platform to blogger comment system. By April 2 2019, every detail about google+ will be removed. It is a process so if your comments are disappearing at the moment google plus is still clearing off the database and it will be completed on the 2nd of april and google plus will no more be in existence anymore.

Go to your blogger settings
You will notice that the options to choose between commenting the systems is no more available. So kindly change and remove all google plus widgets.

Redesign your website
A good and easily navigated website is key to good customer service. Redesigning your website can be a breakthrough for your business, which includes monetary and service wise.
To read more about redesigning your website. I have put together 7 reasons why your website needs a redesign

Add relevant contents to your website
Running a business is totally different from adding content to your website. There is strategic content that drives traffic to a website. Understand what type of content drives traffic to your business website and capitalize on creating those types of contents. There are a lot of content creators online with worthy services who can help in directing your business to the right audience.
This includes the way photos on your business website are edited, the colour scheme, arrangement, and patterns. Instagram and Facebook happen to be some of the most used business apps and as so interacting with your followers and asking catchy questions can help build both trusts and capture better productive attention.

This is a big announcement from google plus and in a way, I feel a little sad about it. A lot of share groups will be going off and it was a big traffic source for some of us. Anyways, we are all saying a big thank you to the google plus team and do have a great future ahead.

GOOGLE+ IS SHUTTING DOWN.
please read carefully.

Following the announcement of Google+ API deprecation scheduled for March 2019, a number of changes will be made to Blogger’s Google+ integration on 4 February 2019.

Google+ widgets: Support for the “+1 Button”, “Google+ Followers” and “Google+ Badge” widgets in Layout will no longer be available. All instances of these widgets will be removed from your blog.

+1 buttons: The +1/G+ buttons and Google+ share links below blog posts and in the navigation bar will be removed.

Please note that if you have a custom template that includes Google+ features, you may need to update your template. Please contact your template supplier for advice.

Google+ Comments: Support for Google+ comments will be turned down, and all blogs using Google+ comments will be reverted back to using Blogger comments. Unfortunately, comments posted as Google+ comments cannot be migrated to Blogger and will no longer appear on your blog.

You've received this email because you have a consumer (personal) Google+ account or you manage a Google+ page.
In December 2018, we announced our decision to shut down Google+ for consumers in April 2019 due to low usage and challenges involved in maintaining a successful product that meets consumers' expectations. We want to thank you for being part of Google+ and provide next steps, including how to download your photos and other content.

On April 2nd, your Google+ account and any Google+ pages you created will be shut down and we will begin deleting content from consumer Google+ accounts. Photos and videos from Google+ in your Album Archive and your Google+ pages will also be deleted. You can download and save your content, just make sure to do so before April. Note that photos and videos backed up in Google Photos will not be deleted.

The process of deleting content from consumer Google+ accounts, Google+ Pages, and Album Archive will take a few months, and content may remain through this time. For example, users may still see parts of their Google+ account via activity log and some consumer Google+ content may remain visible to G Suite users until consumer Google+ is deleted.

Today, there are lots of apps we use on our mobile devices, both on the Play Store and the App Store. We are happy to download them, especially if the app offers free downloads with no charge. Some apps are relevant and helpful, while others are just used to generate income. Either way, whichever way you want to go in 2019, here are some reasons why you need an app for your business.

In 2019, creating an app for your business can help your business move to the next level, prepare your business for a massive benefit, and channel it to the right gate.

Note: Not all businesses need an app. Make sure you do clear research before creating an app for your business.

Generate additional sales.

Apps encourage repeat orders. If you have an app on your phone, it pops up reminders asking you to check out new offers, keeping you up to date on what's going on.
This also involves a download number and payment to use the app, depending on how compelling the app is.

Ads on your app.

You can benefit from the advertising revenue generated from the clicks.
Wonder why some apps have so many ads running? This is because the app is also hosting beneficial advertising campaigns.

Build a better customer relationship and stay in control.

Apps allow business owners to create a direct relationship with customers.
You are more likely to retain customers once you know who they are, where they are, and how to reach them.

Enhance the customer service experience.

Many websites do not look so great on mobile screens.
But mobile apps are purpose-designed for small screen sizes, so they are easier on the eye and simpler to use for the customer. This is more comfortable and can create a bond between customers and your app.

I thought I was the only one late to using the Instagram story App, but now, some of my Instagram followers also needed to know. So here is a mini clip.

Farewell NetworkedBlogs
This is so sad, because Networkedblogs provides good and easy sharing platform for websites and blogs. It will be We've had the pleasure of serving you over many years, and we're honored to have built a service that was used by millions of people. NetworkedBlogs started as a weekend side project for fun and was originally called "Blogs I Read", but it grew quickly and we eventually ended up working on it full time. Then we received funding from Facebook's fbFund accelerator and then from 500Startups and TMT and worked really hard to improve it and extend it.

However, despite its popularity, we couldn't make NetworkedBlogs a profitable business. We put ads on the site and charged for additional features, and throughout the years, experimented with many different features and tried several ideas, with limited success. Eventually, about 3 years ago, we concluded that it's not going to work out and we stopped accepting new user registrations and shifted our attention to our new product, Symphony Tools. But we decided to keep the service running to serve existing users for as long as we could. And, now, we're finally pulling the plug and disabling the last remaining features. The last of which, syndication, will stop on June 6th.

I'll try to answer as many questions as I can below, but if you have other questions, use the chat box at the bottom (leave a message if we're not online), or email me at waleed@ninua.com.

FAQ
Q: Will my blog get deleted? Will I lose all my posts?
No. Your blog is likely hosted on a blogging platform such as BlogSpot, Wordpress, Tumblr, ...etc. These platforms are not affected.

Q: Do I need to do anything?
Only if you're using one of these three featurs:
If you have one of our widgets on your blog, then you'll want to remove it.
If you're using syndication to automatically share your blog to Facebook or Twitter, you'll need to find an alternative. See below for suggestions.
If you're using our Blog Tab on your Facebook page you'd want to remove it.

Q: Do I need to delete my account?
No. We'll delete all accounts and the data associated with them once we're done.

Q: I'm a paying subscriber, will you refund my payment?
Yes. We'll cancel all paid subscriptions and issue refunds for unused time. This is going to be a manual process so please bear with us as we go through it over the next few weeks.

Q: How do I contact you if I have other questions?
Leave a message in the chat box in the bottom-right corner and we'll get back to you. Or, email me at waleed@ninua.com.

Alternatives for Sharing your Blog to Facebook and Twitter
One of the commonly used features in NetworkedBlogs is syndication, which automatically shares your blog posts to Facebook and Twitter. This feature will stop on June 6th.

If you write casually once in a while then the simplest alternative is to share your posts manually. Just copy&paste the link of your post to the status box in Facebook or Twitter. It's fairly quick and you avoid the complexity of installing an exteranl tool.

If you write often or share to many social accounts then look for alternative tools. Our own sister product, Symphony, is one example. It's a paid service, but you get a 30-day free trial that you can use until you decide on a more permanent solution. Other competing services we're aware of are HootSuite, Buffer, and Dlvr.it. And you can probably find many more if you Google for it.
Have you ever wondered why your blog/websites get little or no view? It's annoying right, oh wait so frustrating and makes you depressed to the extent that you wonder if social influencing is for you?

Now get a paper and pen, as you read, answer every question in this post with a question mark (?) on your paper or below the comment field.

There is a solution to this, but first, let's recall, before you started your blog/website, what was your aim? There are so many things to put into consideration before starting a blog but many people are just triggered by the name of having a website/blog, it was love at the 1st sight that died with time, some lack focus and the patience to keep it going, whichever is yours let's fix it.

Building a good audience may take more time than you expect but you can make it faster by correcting your mistakes. The starter pack is seeing positivity in everything, this is a kick start to everything we do in life.

1. You have to love something to put more interest and devote your time to doing it. Why do you blog? What do you blog about? How do you blog? When you can answer these questions your 40% ahead to building good traffic.

2. If you are just starting, you have to learn how to build your audience, analyze what, which words and contents bring the most views. This is where patience and persistence come in. You will not have thousands of people turning up the next day to read your blog if you have only just started blogging. It is a journey of many steps and this is where your consistency will be tested as you build traffic one step at a time.

3. Headlines are very important factors when trying to drive more traffic to your blog, you can imagine being given a book with an unattractive title, 30% of your interest is dropped. When titling your post, be strategic, make your audience inquisitive and let the words be calling. This helps your post get reshared and your article get more clicks.

4. I get lots of emails asking how do I get more views/traffic? Hey, you little social butterfly, are you posting frequently enough? how can we know you, get acquainted with your articles, when we can not remember the last time you posted an article. Do you just write an article when the mood suits you? some say I have to be in the mood, then you just have to wait for the world to also be in the mood to read your article. If you want people to become regular readers of your blog then you need to be consistent. Have you noticed that Magazines comes out every week and some every month? Newspapers come out every day, hail, snow or shine. Post regularly and be consistent by so doing you will build a loyal readership.

Note: Updating your articles more frequently doesn't only help you build a good audience but helps those who want to write more professionally and attracts more branding favour to you.

5. Get focused, know your market area, if you want to be versatile build one after the other, do not rush into everything, let's know you for one thing 1st before you rush into another area of social influence.

6. Have you ever sat down to read your articles/post or contents, sincerely what do you think? Bad, Good and Excellent? If you are writing articles that people find boring or irrelevant, then you have missed the line. It is not hard to change. There are several ways to put life into your content. Example, by listening to your audience and helping solve their problems and maybe even entertaining them by asking questions, telling stories and making videos.

7. One of the strengths of social media is its power and leverage to get your content out to other platforms and channels where your audience is hanging out. So put your videos on YouTube, post your articles to Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn and don’t forget others like Technorati and Digg. Use your blog as a home base, distribute and leverage your content to your social media outposts. Go to where your potential audience is Facebook has over 600 million users, now that is an audience.
Try to build at least three online platforms that can help drive significant traffic to your blog/website.

Read more on SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES TO JOIN.

8. Hey big boss, how far have you gone? Too big to engage with others, ok let's see how that goes. A quick tool to getting into the community if you are new to blogging is by commenting on other blogs, giving interviews to top bloggers or successful people either online or in person. Ask to be a guest blogger. Take advantage of other people’s network.

9 A Reader is a leader, no matter how smart you are, read about the success of others already ahead of you, this gives you more information on the best way you can possibly be.

10. It's better when you are recognized as a brand and not just a person. When you think of Melody Jacobs, what comes to your mind? She is a fashion and lifestyle blogger.
As you all know, social media is a gateway to traffic and publicity for you as a blogger or website owner. In my previous post, I spoke about how to get more traffic and improve your audience, and I mentioned social media and its role.

Today I will be listing out some social media platforms which can help you grow your audience and traffic. You also get to connect with different people. Get style inspiration and share your style too.
Over the years I have learnt a lot from blogging and if I have to say, a lot really matters in getting the right audience and traffic to your blog or website. The search engine basics do matter but here are tips that come into play.

I would briefly run down through everything, keep reading.

1) Consistency
Consistency is a thing I would really myself for, staying in the minds of people really helps, post as regular as you can, this is an easy way to grow your traffic and get the right audience to visit your blog.

2) Picture texture
Believe me, if you check some good and known bloggers, they have good pictures. Sometimes the outfit doesn't really look good or flattering but with the use of a good camera they obtain good photos, this gives it a different touch and makes it attractive.

3)Pose and altitude
Your pose in a picture really matters as a fashion blogger, different clothes need different pose style. Holding a cup of coffee, wearing a white shirt and a pair of jeans should feature a different pose from you are wearing a long mermaid dress.

4) Blog Template arrangement
This is very important, the way your template looks really counts, many unnecessary sidebars should be removed as it causes a distraction to the main content. Collaborators also tend to look at how your blog is designed.
No content on this site, regardless of date, should be used to replace direct medical advice from your doctor or another trained practitioner.
