One thing I really enjoy about Abuja is that there always seems to be something happening somewhere in the city. You can go hiking in the morning, find a food market in the afternoon, sit somewhere surrounded by greenery, or simply discover a part of the city you had never paid attention to before.
That was exactly how my Saturday went.
On Saturday, 3 October 2026, I spent part of my day exploring Abuja, starting with a fitness and wellness event before heading to the Bread Market District, an artisan food and pastry pop-up at Harrow Golf Park in Wuse 2. And honestly, it turned into one of those simple Abuja days that I really enjoyed.
My day started quite early because the fitness event began around 7 in the morning. The event was organised around fitness, healthy living and better food choices, with Lunchman, a salad-focused food brand, encouraging people to move, eat well and connect with others. I had planned to participate in the fitness activities, but my stomach was not exactly cooperating that morning, so I decided not to push myself.
Instead, I found a comfortable spot and enjoyed the surroundings.
There was so much greenery around the venue, along with a small stadium, outdoor sporting areas and a restaurant. Abuja has plenty of green spaces, and I have always loved that side of the city. Sometimes I do not even need to be doing anything. Give me somewhere green and peaceful to sit, and I will be happy.

My friend had actually won the previous edition of the fitness challenge, so it was lovely seeing her return for another round. This time, someone else took the win.

I am absolutely stunned. Oh my gosh, some people are blessed with good voices, and John Legend is definitely one of them. He sounded even better than on his album; his voice is truly beautiful. I was smitten by his voice, and his energy was so calming and relaxing. I loved every minute of the show and enjoyed it so much; I'm so happy. It felt incredibly soothing, and my friend and I had a really good time.
John is so talented and plays the piano so well. His performance was outstanding. He used the stage effectively, and his energy was pure. I wish him and his family the very best on his tour.
The "Get Lifted" tour is all about his journey. He shared amazing insights and even told us about some songs he was part of that we didn't know he was. He has worked in the background with many popular musicians.
My Outfit for the John Legend Concert
For my outfit, I picked up this pink mini jumpsuit with flowers from River Island. I wanted something simple yet stylish and definitely a bit girly. To go with it, I chose some gold earrings and styled my trusty cornrows – honestly, the easiest hair ever. I love that I don't have to do anything with them.
I also put a little effort into my makeup. I spent more time blending and trying to get my face just right, even though I'm still learning. What matters is that I know how to work with my own face. For shoes, I wore my gold gladiator sandals from Zara, which I think I've only worn once before with my stylish green dress.
I went with a friend, and she was so happy when I invited her. I was glad she could make it. We've been chilling together since our days in Ukraine, and now we sometimes go out with her daughter – if you remember seeing a kid in some of my beach posts, that's her beautiful daughter.
Overall, I kept my look pretty simple. Since this is Scotland, I definitely brought a jacket – you can never be too sure with the weather here. Plus, I actually went to the gym yesterday in the rain and got a bit chilly, but I still enjoyed the walk and woke up feeling great.

Okay, friends, gather 'round, because I have some NEWS that has me absolutely buzzing – and if you're a music lover, you're going to want to hear this! Guess who's bringing his iconic sound back to the stage, celebrating an album that shaped an entire era? None other than the one and only John Legend, and guess what? He's kicking off his "Get Lifted 20th Anniversary World Tour" right here in GLASGOW.
Seriously, when I heard the OVO Hydro is getting the first taste of this tour on May 27th, my jaw dropped. Get Lifted is more than just an album; it's a masterpiece that gave us "Ordinary People," "Used to Love U," and so many other tracks that just hit different. It's the album that introduced us to the EGOT-winning Legend we know and adore today, grabbing three Grammys along the way, including Best New Artist. Twenty years, can you believe it? Time flies when you're making history.
One of the highlights was celebrating Yinka, who graduated with a master's degree. She was very happy, and it was lovely to see her so joyful and to witness everyone coming together to support her during this beautiful time in her life.
Robert Gordon University, known for its strong emphasis on professional education and practical experience, provided a fitting backdrop for this milestone. One takeaway from a speech made at the graduation was the importance of practicing the 5 L's to live better: live, love, laughter, labor, and listening.
There was also a barbecue after the graduation, and I had the best smoky jollof rice since coming to the UK. I just wanted to keep this post simple to share that I had a good time and to show you all my outfit.

Creating magical moments and cherishing blessings
Hey everyone! I hope you all had an amazing weekend. First things first, I want to give a thanks to God Almighty for blessing us with a fantastic weekend.
So, guess what? My partner's birthday was on Saturday, and I had a super cool surprise planned for him. I ordered this awesome package from Temu, and I was a little worried that it wouldn't arrive in time. But, being the proactive person I am, I ordered it well in advance and even reached out to
Temu to see if they could speed up the delivery. And you know what? They totally came through! They assured me that my package would be treated as a top priority, and that made me really happy.
A big shoutout to the amazing team at Temu for coming through and delivering my parcel early, just in time for his birthday. Seriously, they saved the day! By the way, if you haven't checked out my Temu Babie finds on YouTube, you totally should. They have some awesome stuff that might come in handy for you too.
So, two days before the big day, I went to the card factory and grabbed two happy birthday balloons, filled with helium because, well, who doesn't love those floating balloons? I also picked up a card and a cute decorative bow to attach to the cake table knife to jazz up the presentation and make it look extra special.
I've gotta admit, I was pretty excited because it was my first time planning a surprise birthday. I really didn't want to mess it up, you know? I wanted to make sure everything was just right. About 5 hours before he was due to come back from work, I rushed out to get him some gifts. I was a bit confused about what to get, but I also made a quick pit stop at my favorite karaoke bar and booked a table for two.
Let me tell you about the whole decoration situation. I thought it would take me like an hour, but oh boy was I wrong! It ended up taking me over three hours. Turns out that decorating and pulling off a surprise like this is no joke. Shoutout to all those talented and brilliant people who offer decorative services. I have a newfound respect for them!
I had ordered an electric balloon pump to make things easier, but guess what? It totally failed me. The first balloon I tried to blow up with the pump just burst. The same thing happened with the second one because I wasn't doing it right or it wasn't the right type of balloon. So, I said, forget it and decided to blow them all up with my own mouth. Surprisingly, it was faster and more efficient. I was on a mission to finish everything before he got home, and I somehow managed to pull it off.
The celebration of Women's Day went well for me, and I just wanted to give a little rundown of how it went. My women's day celebration began on March 7, and I was taken to a restaurant for steak and fries, lively conversation, and a wonderful time in the evening.

I received 13 roses midday at work. Since I adore flowers so much, I was ecstatic and decided to take photos with them yesterday morning before work. I am extremely pleased with my Women's Day experience. I concluded the day by watching a thriller movie while eating traditional Nigerian dishes and drinking 9 Crime Wine by Snoop Dog.
But before this happened, my man tricked me into believing he was on night duty, and I believed him because he prepared like he was going to work and dressed up for work. He called me after a few minutes to say he was at work and that he was going to write me if he had free time, but after some minutes I heard the door open, and I was so scared to my pants that I started shaking and moving slowly to check the door, and I already planned on calling the police if need be, only to see my man back in the house and laughing at me and saying surprise, surprise, I got you some freshly prepared traditional dishes. It was so funny how I fell for this trick, but it was a pleasant surprise.

Yesterday, the 23rd of March 2022, was my little niece's birthday. I remember how many times she told me about her birthday. She told me what gifts she wanted for her birthday and what colour of cake she would love. She requested a pink cake, and I'm delighted I was able to fulfil her requests.
Her birthday fell on a school day, so she had to go to school, which is when I took advantage of the situation and decorated the living room so she could come home to a surprise. I am very pleased with how successfully I pulled it off. From colourful balloons to other birthday party decorations, she was overjoyed.
I was delighted to see her smile, and she seemed to like her gifts. My mother and two siblings joined us for the celebration. I pray that her smile never ends.

Holipark 2019 is one of the most popular events held at maxim gorky park Kharkov Ukraine. I almost missed this one. I wanted to experience the cultural blends of different countries coming together to celebrate using colors as a means of communication. I captured some lovely moments and beautiful people. The event usually begins at 12:00pm with different performances from the Indians and other dance groups. By 1:00 pm the festival of color is opened and the color splash begins. I actually went a bit late because I found out about it today.
