For sheer envy, King Saul pursued young David to kill him. Hated and hounded, David feared for his life and took to the caves of Israel. At a point the king and his hate-army encircled him and his men. It seemed like the end of the road. But just as Saul began to close the dragnet, God sent an invading army into Israel to divert Saul away from his murderous scheme. David escaped unhurt from his enemies snare. Life troubles come in various shapes and colors: family crisis, academic setback, parental rejection, health issues, or financial lack. Through it all however the Christian youth can confidently trust in the unfailing power of Jehovah. He is utterly reliable and competent to reduce all our life troubles to rubble, for His name sake. Do not despair, O child of God; your God has the power to deliver you in trouble. Look to God in faith and prayer.
Challenge: When trouble knocks, I will not answer; Jesus will.
Prayer: Save me, O Lord, and I shall be saved.
