WATCHER 2022 THRILLER MOVIE REVIEW

If there's one thing I've learned, it's that some men can be a bit slow—and I mean this in the nicest way. That's why, most times, when you say something to them, they think you're either stressed or just having a moment.

So, this movie The Watcher is about a married couple who moved to Romania after the husband got promoted. On their first day in the new apartment, the wife noticed someone watching them from the window of the building opposite the one they were renting.

A few days later, a woman was stabbed to death in her apartment on the same street.

The wife started feeling like someone was following her. Even when she went to the supermarket, someone followed her until she got so frightened and ran off. She told her husband, and they went back to the supermarket to check the security footage. She saw the person's face, but not very clearly, so she took a photo of the CCTV screen. They called the police, who asked if she could identify the person. She said it seemed like the person from the window, so her husband and the officer went to that building. When her husband came back, he told her the man was just taking care of his sick father and she should get over herself.
But she still had this gut feeling that the man wasn’t a good person. One day, she followed him, and that evening, the man called the police and reported her for stalking him. He claimed he just wanted peace between them and even suggested shaking hands. But she kept seeing this man in different places. Her husband brushed it off, saying it was normal to run into him since they lived on the same street.

Then one day, she ran into him on the metro and confronted him, asking why he was following her. He said something, but you'll have to watch the movie to find out what. Later that night, while her husband was at a marketing dinner, the man attacked her in their apartment, cutting her neck with a knife. But she managed to shoot him just as her husband returned at the end of the scene.

One thing I know about women is that we have very strong intuition, and when you start feeling like something’s off, it’s so important to stay careful and watchful.

  1. This sounded like a riveting but very scary movie. I am a big believer in listening to our inner voice. I do believe that women have a more heightened sense of awareness. I have listened to mine and it has never steered me wrong.

  5. This sounds like such a powerful movie. You are so right that intuition should be considered! A lot of the time, we are taught to ignore our intuition in order to be polite to others...but we know that something is not right. It is powerful to honour that feeling. I will have to check this movie out <3

  6. Oh this sounds like a great thriller. There was a series on Netflix with a similar name based on a true story about a family that was being watched and stalked with letters showing up. Turns out it was a woman who had put a bid on the house but was out bid by the current owners who were the family that were being stalked. Talk about a sore loser!

“A Soft Answer” Wednesday, June 18, 2025

Key Verse “A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger” (Proverbs 15:1). Text —Proverbs 15:1-4 Message Two contrasting scenarios in the Book of Judges portray the truth of today’s text. Gideon was challenged by the men of Ephraim and his soft answer averted what could have brought a destructive war (Judges 8:1-3). A few years later, the quarrelsome Ephraimites met their match in an equally short-tempered Jephthah. He was a Gileadite from the tribe of Gad. Rough words flew back and forth, and a devastating war broke out between the two tribes. By the time the dust cleared, 42,000 Israelites were dead (Judges 12:1-6). Speaking the right words would have prevented that. The heart and the mouth are connected, therefore grace in the heart produces graciousness in the lips. Graciousness is the ability to speak words that promote peace and harmony in otherwise tense situations. Opportunities to exhibit grace or else bad manners will arise every day in the home, at school, or on the streets. Unsaved youths lose the battle every time; they speak bad words, show rude manners even to elders, they have no respect for anyone. Today is International Day for Countering Hate Speech. Quote The heart and the mouth are connected Challenge Practice graciousness in your speech today. Prayer for today Set a watch before my mouth, O Lord.
