Mother's Day is just around the corner, and it's good to shower your mom with love. You can surprise her with a home-cooked meal. There are different recipes online, depending on what your mom prefers. As early as today, months before Mother's Day, perhaps you casually ask her what's her favorite food. However, don't give anything else away as it’ll be a surprise, after all.

  • Olive oil

  • Chopped sun-dried tomatoes

  • Minced fresh parsley

  • Cubed part-skim mozzarella cheese


Combine all the ingredients except for the mozzarella cheese. After mixing, add the cheese and coat it well. Cover it with saran wrap and put it in the refrigerator for at least thirty minutes.


  • Korean Fried Zucchini. It’s one of the most famous Korean appetizers.


Ingredients:

  • 1 medium-large zucchini

  • 2 teaspoons salt

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil


Slice the zucchini and add salt to taste. Prepare the batter. Get a bowl and beat the egg, and add salt. Get the flour and put it in a separate container. Start heating the pan and set fire to medium heat. Add the vegetable oil. Coat the zucchini with flour, dip it into the egg, and put it in the pan. Do this for all the zucchini slices. Fry it for three to four minutes on each side until it's golden brown.

  • Vinegar

  • Olive oil

  • Garlic powder

  • Ground ginger

  • Beef rib-eye steaks


In a bowl, mix all the ingredients except the rib-eye steak. After that, pierce the steak with a toothpick or a fork. Add the steak to the bowl and marinate for at least two hours. Cook the steak either in a wok or hot skillet on medium heat. It should cook within seven minutes and then serve.



3. Save The Best For Last: The Dessert

After all, that cooking, take it easy and do something simple. Make a charcuterie board to end the full course meal. Customize the board and make it your own. You just need either a chopping board or a serving tray to put the ingredients. It can be a mix of berries, thinly sliced meat like salami or ham, nuts, jams, crackers, and cheese. Or it can be different kinds of chocolates, cookies, and biscuits. It’s best paired with red wine, but white wine will do just fine too.

  1. The tradition in the US is to take Mom to the fanciest restaurant you can afford. I still have a wonderful image of my mother all dolled up in a pretty blue dress wearing the coursage Dad brought her, getting ready for the trip to her favorite restaurant for lobster Cantonese. It is wonderful to see all the families out together on Mother's Day!
