Nigeria might suffer a heavy outbreak of Covid-19 if social distancing is not taken seriously.

There are confirmed cases of coronavirus infection currently in Nigeria. The Covid-19 outbreak is spreading rapidly. Countries have taken strict measures by implementing social distancing, closing down public places and informing their citizens about the importance of self-isolation. Nigeria is yet to even start any strong background of social distancing. Markets and public places are still very much functional in Nigeria.

The bitter part of it is that Nigeria is saying that they are prepared for the outburst of the Coronavirus but social distancing has not been active. This is not a fight of just the health system, being well prepared for this because Nigeria has over a population of 206.14 million ranking 7th in the world. If strict measures are not taken now Nigeria might suffer a severe outbreak of the Covid--19.

Nigerian citizens are yet to understand the intensity of this virus. What makes me so angry is that during elections the so-called leaders make sure they reach out to everyone but when there are serious health issues like this the leaders become snails.  If you are currently in Nigeria please practice social distancing and self-isolation. Remember your leaders do not care about you, and if anything goes south hopefully you will be safe at your homes because you took the right steps.

  2. Ohmy! I'm from the Philippines and the province where I lived in was locked down already. We're also practicing self quarantine. Public places are closed except for the pharmacies and grocery stores. Yet, the cases are growing in number everyday. I just hope everyone in Nigeria realizes how it is so important to follow the rules and practice social distancing. Hand washing is very important as well. Take care!! I wish for you and your family's safety.

  6. This is sadly true for many countries right now. I hope the Nigerian government will take a stronger stand toward social distancing soon so that covid-19's spread can be as small as possible. Hope you stay safe and healthy. :)

  9. I live in Serbia and because many people are still not complying to the measures prescribed by experts we're facing even more movement bans, we can't even take our dogs outside in the evening hours despite their physiological needs. I sure hope this situation gets under control soon, so many lives were already lost. Stay home and stay safe, beautiful, may all of this end up being nothing more than a bad memory.

  10. Hope that you stay safe and healthy! Even with the social distancing in place at the moment not everyone follows the rules here in Australia, so frustrating. We are staying home as much as possible, and now the schools are closed we expect to only need to go out for groceries once a week. Especially as we are now working from home.

Hope that you are having a nice weekend :) It's another quiet one at home here.
