Help a Friend: Support His University Dream in the Netherlands

Oh, friends, I need to share something important with you, and it's about a really close friend of mine.

I want to tell you about my dear friend. He's incredibly bright and dedicated, but his life was dramatically impacted by the war in Ukraine and even before it due to funds. He had to drop out of university and had to leave during the conflict, which was just heartbreaking.

Now, he's found a way to continue his education in the Netherlands, and he's back as a full-time student at Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences. Despite facing so many challenges, he keeps pushing forward, working different jobs to try and cover his fees. But as a student, it's an immense struggle, and he's still falling short. He's doing everything he can, but he just needs a little extra help to stay on track.

That's why I'm reaching out to you all. We're behind him every step of the way, and I know how much it would mean to him to get some assistance with his fees. Please, if you can spare even a small amount, it would make a world of difference. Remember, nothing is too small when we come together.

You can help him continue his studies through this GoFundMe link. He also shared his story, which you can read below the donation.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for considering helping my friend achieve his dream.

  6. Hello Melody Jacob. I am Asep Haryono from Indonesia. Nice to meet you

This truly touched my heart. It’s not easy to rebuild your life after experiencing war, loss, and interrupted dreams — yet your friend’s resilience and determination are incredibly inspiring.

It’s amazing that he’s managed to return to university despite everything, and it speaks volumes about his strength and character.

Thank you for sharing his story so openly and compassionately. It’s a reminder of how powerful our support can be, even in small ways. I sincerely hope others join in and help him stay on his path. He deserves every chance to succeed and thrive.

  8. Melody, I'm very sorry for your friend :(
The events in Ukraine are a horrifying horror! I have written about this barbaric war many times on my blog.
Unfortunately, but the aggressor, the one who started the war, the terrorist Putin doesn't care about peace! Putin is a beast!!! He's the political son of the criminal Stalin (one of the greatest in the history of the world and I will always say it)!!! For Putin and Russia there is no forgiveness!!!
Melody, I salute you and I wish you a good new week!!!

“Foundation Of Wisdom” Friday, June 13, 2025

Key Verse “Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end” (Proverbs 19:20). Text —Proverbs 19:18-21 Message According to Isaac Asimov, “The saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom.” As Bible students, we all know that the fear of the LORD is the foundation of true wisdom because all who obey His commandments will grow in wisdom. Unfortunately, wisdom seems to be on the wane these days because the present society tends to value that which is trendy, spectacular, and instantaneous and neglect wisdom, which is classic, unpretentious, and unhurried. Moreover, young people are entranced by their youthful audacity rather than the prudence of maturity. Yet, the human society desperately needs wisdom in our spiritual, secular, social, business, career, and academic pursuits. In fact, we all need wisdom each day: in our work, in our families, in our learning, and in our effort to be servants of Jesus Christ. As a young person, you need to know, not only how to do things, but also which of those things are right and will be fruitful. In Psalm 111:10, we are told that true wisdom emanates from the fear of the LORD. Quote We all need wisdom each day Challenge They who are enticed by the world are not wise. Prayer for today O Lord, I do need wisdom, Your wisdom.
