So you want to get married ?

When you first get engaged or decide it’s time to get married, you may be so excited about everything coming your way. However, you also need to be practical. Because when the buzz wears off, you’ll realise that you have so much planning for you to do now. And to achieve that, you need to make sure that you’re ready. Here are a few ideas to help you.

To start with, one of the first choices you need to make is where you want to get married, and this works on two levels. The first is where, in terms of the country or city. Do you want to get married overseas or in your hometown? Maybe even in a different place nearby?

And then, you need to work out what you want. Do you want a modern wedding or something really traditional? Do you know what elements of the day matter to you most, or how much you want to spend? These factors can help you work out what you want.

Finally, you're also going to want to be sure about how you want to get married. So have that conversation. Do traditions, like in the infographic below, matter the most to you?
