I was totally pleased that I was among the winner of the Pride: through the lens challenge held on Pexels by format. I felt so inspired to do more with photography.
Here is a few words from my interview with formate magazine (VIEW THE FULL INTERVIEW ON FORMAT.COM)

Question 3: Why does this photo represent pride to you? :  Emerging as one of the winners amongst millions of talented photographers is worth celebrating. A big Thank you to Format for the opportunity. This was one of those simple shoots at the beginning of the pride month, shot on a sunny afternoon.

To me, pride month demonstrates love and diversity, it is about positive self expression. No matter where you fall on the spectrum, you should feel good about yourself and that is what I stand for.
The question of creativity—where it comes from and how it happens—is fascinating. Pink is a pale red color that is named after a flower of the same name. It was first used as a color name in the late 17th century. According to surveys in Europe and the United States, pink is the color most often associated with charm, politeness, sensitivity, tenderness, sweetness, childhood, femininity and the romantic. It is associated with chastity and innocence when combined with white, but associated with eroticism and seduction when combined with purple or black. #wiki

Hi Godisable,
Two days ago we launched the Everyday People campaign, a photo mission calling for our photographer community to share images celebrating diversity. Since many of the photos on Pexels are widely used and distributed by designers and the media, the intention is to help facilitate the representation of diversity on and offline. In only two days since the launch we've received over 900 images. The response is overwhelming and we're only beginning to scratch the surface.

Help us spread the word by sharing our Medium post and adding your photos to the Everyday People campaign. Together we will #makemediabetter.

Minimalism, an artistic movement that emerged in the United States in the 1960s, sought to feature the basic elements and eliminate non-essential components. In recent years, minimalism is making a strong comeback and you're likely to find minimalist design in everything from product packaging and websites to photography and home interiors.
