  11. I need to find a better beach. When I was growing up -- no, even LONG after I was grown, maybe till about 10 years ago -- you could walk down my beach and no one cared. No one felt like you were walking on their property. Now it just feels odd. I miss that. Yes, there are many benefits to a sunset walk, all the better with a partner but even lovely on your own.

    1. I understand what you are saying, but here in Scotland, there are many water bodies to enjoy, although people tend to own the beaches and similar areas. Now, I don't understand how that works, but I have passed a river area here in Scotland, and it says "private area." It might be a loch, but I really wanted to enjoy the view.

  16. when i spent my summer holiday in a city near the sea (where i hope i'll go back someday), i used to go to the beach everyday after lunch. rather than lying on a towel, i enjoyed walking on the shore, throughout the whole beach.
    according to reflexology, the soles are connected to every part of the body, so it makes sense that walking barefoot on the sand has so many benefits.
    and one of them is losing the shame to show feet. :)

  30. Thank you so much for all of this. I knew it was good for me but now I know why! We don't see the sun set at our beach --but we do get the sun rise. We can walk at the river to see the sun setting. We have to do it more often because I think we take it for granted!
