  1. Descansar y leer. En mi caso estoy leyendo un libro de vampiros, Se llama Glacier y es mitad vampiro y mitad gárgola. Te mando un beso.

    1. A half-vampire, half-gargoyle book is such a cool, unique concept for a weekend read.

  2. A Gentleman In Moscow is a wonderful book, a man in Moscow is forced to live in a hotel and never leave it for decades by the dictators. He creates a pretty nice life! TV with a bit of humor: Fisk (an eccentric female lawyer), A Son of a Critch (sweet, about growing up in Newfoundland Canada).

    1. A Gentleman in Moscow is a total classic. Thanks for the TV recommendations, too! Fisk sounds quirky and fun, and I always need a sweet coming-of-age story like A Son of a Critch in my queue.

  5. We have a wedding in Long Island, New York (about 2 hour ride from us) this weekend so we will be leaving Friday and staying over for Saturday. I would recommend a good book called, The Goddess of Warsaw- It's a mystery story that is based on historical fiction that takes place in modern Hollywood with flashbacks to WW2 and the Holocaust.

    1. Thank you for the book recommendation. The Goddess of Warsaw sounds absolutely incredible. A Hollywood mystery fused with the powerful history of the Warsaw Ghetto is a brilliant and intense premise. I love how it connects those seemingly distant worlds

  7. Olá, querida amiga Melody!
Uma boa leitura nos leva a viajar por outros patamares onde nos afastamos do cotidiano e ganhamos outras reflexões e ânimo.
Tenha um final de semana abençoado!
    Beijinhos fraternos

    1. Sleeping and sleeping, the best feeling is when you wake up and just have food placed in front of you and then a holiday movie...humm, refreshing.

  11. if you like astronomy, 'the planets' by dava sobel is a hidden gem. it's an essay that also includes some mythology references and a little bit of humour from time to time.
a song? 'sex is not the enemy' by garbage. unfortunately, i studied in a strictly religious school, and according to their ideas, sexuality was just that: an enemy,

  12. What a fun post! There is a YouTube channel (Jake Westbrook) that posts all sorts of vintage music playlists. Lately, I have been listening to the fall and Halloween themed ones. They are so much fun and I definitely recommend them now that fall is here!

    1. I've looked up the channel and found several vintage autumn and Halloween-themed playlists, which I've included a link to below. The blending of vintage music—which often has a wonderful, cozy nostalgia—with the festive, spooky atmosphere of fall and Halloween is a brilliant idea.

Thank you for yet another great recommendation to add to our list of shared interests!

  14. Мне понравилась книга "From London with Love" by Sarah Gio.

  15. Well, I recently watched the first season of Shadow and Bone and liked it. I thought it was a good adaptation of the book. I started the second season but didn't have the time to see it yet. So, that's my two cents.

  17. Ja wczoraj obejrzałam cały 3 sezon serialu Alice in Borderland. Coś lekko podobnego do Squid game i delikatnie nawiązuje do Alicji w Krainie czarów. Pozdrawiam najserdeczniej Kochana Melody
