Key Verse
“Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!” (Psalm 81:13)
Text — Psalms 81 :10-16
Message
God has a plan, a path, and a purpose for each of our lives. It all leads us to our destiny. He also has a process to get us ready for that destiny. However, there are many people who lived the whole of their lives on earth without entering into God’s plan or purpose before they die. This means that a person may be born, live and die, without entering into the plan of God for his or her life. There are many factors that can lead to unfulfilled and unrealized destiny.
Among all the factors that affect or determine our destinies are our choices or decisions. Life is full of choices. Every day, God gives us the freedom to make choices about what we think is going to be good, or even best for us. Christian are expected to prayerfully make choices that are godly because for every action there is a reaction, and for every choice there is a consequence. If you must realize your destiny, you must align with the will of God and receive Christ as your Saviour.
Quote
Decision determines destiny.
Challenge
For every choice there is a consequence
Prayer for today
Lord, guide me in the choices I make every day.

DeleteMuy cierto. buena reflexión.- Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteIt really is, and a good reminder that those little daily choices truly matter.
DeleteLord, guide me in the choices I make every day.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful prayer. It’s truly the key to aligning our will with His.
DeleteThis is beautifully written. I don't go to church anymore, but I believe in God and still practice Christianity. Thank you for this blog post.

Thank you for sharing that with such honesty. I completely agree that a personal faith is a beautiful and vital thing. While our relationship with God is personal, the Bible also reminds us in Hebrews 10:24-25 not to give up meeting together, but to spur one another on toward love and good deeds. The community of believers is designed by God to be a place of encouragement, accountability, and growth for us all. I pray you'll find a church home where you feel you belong and can be strengthened on your journey.
Gracias.
Buen domingo Melody
Un abrazo.
You've captured the core message perfectly. The hope for good choices is truly a prayer for guidance, isn't it? May you find that guidance in all your decisions.
DeleteHave a wonderful week.
Boa tarde.
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon, Luiz. I agree completely that without the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we are nothing. I also sincerely appreciate your gentle correction. You're absolutely right that the Bible tells us to "pray in the Spirit," as it says in Ephesians 6:18, "praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit." That's a vital truth, and it's a great reminder to be precise in our language. Thank you for pointing that out.

You've highlighted a profound truth: God's love always invites a response, never forces one. It's a great reminder to guard our hearts from anything that would try to take that choice away.
DeleteDear Melody, this is a beautiful and inspiring post. God bless you. Thank you so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThank you. It’s a true blessing to hear that it resonated with you. Your kind words are a blessing right back.

You've captured it perfectly, Juvenal. It's a journey of aligning what we truly want in our hearts with the path God has for us. A friendly embrace right back.
DeleteI'm in love with the photo and I'm totally agree with your post!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you
DeleteI am not a religious person , but I do believe that choices, even when bad, can bring us valuable lessons, it is upon us to learn them, which we don't always do LOL
ReplyDeleteYou've hit on the most challenging part of it all. It’s one thing to face the consequences, but it’s a whole other journey to truly learn and change from them.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful way to put it. Trusting that our destiny is in His hands brings so much peace. Thank you for that reminder, and I hope you have a great week too.
DeleteThanks for sharinhg these words. Have a wonderful week,
ReplyDeleteS
You are welcome.
DeleteTus palabras dicen mucho, Melody, ojala mas gente las leyera.
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo.
Thank you for saying that. All it takes is for the message to touch one person, and your comment tells me it did just that. It's a true blessing.
DeleteThat is a beautiful photo. I hope you had a nice Sunday.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week.
DeleteActions have consequences. Don't act on the spur of the moment.
ReplyDeleteThat's a powerful and practical truth. The most important choices often require a moment of pause, not a reaction. I appreciate you sharing that wisdom.
DeleteI hope God will guide me in my choices and help me realize that what is good is not what I think it is good, but what he knows he is got. I pray to understand his wisdom and to be guided in everyday decisions.
ReplyDeleteIt takes great wisdom to realize that what we want isn't always what's best. That kind of surrender is exactly what opens the door to His guidance in all things. I am praying with you.
DeleteGreat outlook. Good advice.
ReplyDeleteHugs and Blessings
It's a good reminder for all of us that our daily choices truly shape our destiny.
DeleteWhile I am no longer religious, I do believe that the choices we make daily can have a long lasting impact on our life as a whole. We should always strive to make good choices and follow our hearts. Be kind to others, animals, and mother earth and live each day with an open heart and a willingness to leave the world a better place for the next generation.
ReplyDeleteI understand. When we look at this from a Christian perspective, the desire to be kind and leave the world a better place is absolutely a beautiful thing. The Bible offers a gentle warning about one specific part of that thought process.
DeleteFor instance, Proverbs 28:26. The idea here is that our hearts can be flawed and can often lead us astray.
Rather than following our hearts, the Christian journey is about seeking God’s wisdom and aligning our choices with His will. This is seen as a more reliable and steadfast path to a life that truly brings about good.
Thank you for your thoughtful perspective, as it allows for an important conversation.
This is beautifully expressed, Melanie.
ReplyDeleteSaludos.
The Bible teaches that while God directs our steps, our hearts are still called to plan our way. Our daily choices are how we prepare for the destiny He has written for us.
DeleteThis is such an important reminder <3
