Easter Magic with Friends: A Day of Laughter and Love

Happy Sunday, everyone. I Hope you're all enjoying a peaceful day. My weekend took an unexpected and absolutely delightful turn yesterday.

Originally we planned a day out with a friend from Ukraine on Friday, but life happens, and my amazing partner shifted things to Saturday. And what a Saturday it was!

Our adventure began by picking up our friend and her little one, and our first stop was a magical Easter event for her child. Imagine an Easter bunny hunt with clues… at a real castle! We spent the morning exploring Dundonald Castle, a historic castle that I can't wait to share more about in my next post (stay tuned for those castle pics!). Guiding the little explorer through the clues to find the Easter Bunny was such a joy.

From Dundonald castle, we journeyed to the refreshing Seamill Beach. The coastal views were stunning. We spent a lovely time by the water, with little hands and I excitedly collecting stones along the shore. Of course, there were plenty of photos captured to remember the moment. A little picnic of oranges, apples, and other treats kept our energy levels up.

But the day wasn't over yet. Next on our itinerary was the incredible Kelburn Castle and Estate. Let me tell you, this place was the highlight. I am bursting to share the unique beauty and charm of Kelburn with you all very soon. Trust me, it's something special.

Our exploration continued to the Larg Yacht Haven, another picturesque spot, followed by a brief visit to a bustling large city center. By this point, the Scottish chill was definitely setting in.

We then made our way back, dropped off our friend and her little one, and made a quick pit stop at Tesco for some essentials before finally heading home. My legs were definitely feeling the effects of all the walking, especially around the castle grounds, but honestly, it was all worth it for such a memorable day.

Today, being Sunday, has been much more relaxed. I enjoyed some inspiring preaching and even shared some style posts earlier. Now, I'm soaking up the last of the sunshine, recharging for the week ahead.

I'm curious, what are your plans for today? Wishing you all a lovely and restful Sunday.

For us the day was calm, the weather was beautiful, we were walking in the forest. Green, spring and cheerful with birdsong.
I wish you all the best, warm regards.

  2. Hi Melody!
I'm very happy that you had a nice time :) My Easter is family and church. I was with my parents in church on Good Friday, I was yesterday to bless the food and today at Mass. In my house yesterday there were still final preparations for Christmas. Today we had breakfast: I, my parents and my aunt.
Melody, my good friend, I wish you a good new week!

  15. Thanks for the suggestions Melody. By the way, your previous blog posts about Nigerian women's 'wedding dresses' are closed for comments. Why are comments closed? Nigerian women look so elegant in those dresses. They also had a mermaid look. :) Happy Easter. ✔💕🍀🎁🌹😊

“Lavish Your Best On The Lord” Sunday, May 18, 2025

Key Verse “Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her” (Mark 14:9). Text —Mark 14:3-9 Message To lavish your best on the Lord, start by giving Him your whole heart. Then use your unique gifts and abilities to serve Him. This could include anything from singing in the choir to teaching at Sunday school. Even if it’s hard or uncomfortable, give your best to the Lord. Take inspiration from the woman in our today’s Bible text who poured out her costly oil. Like David, she decided to offer to the Lord that which cost her something (2 Samuel 24:24). The hymn writer Frances Havergal wrote, “Take my life, and let it be Consecrated Lord to thee.” Christ is our perfect example of giving; He gave His life for us, and we have no reason to withhold our best from Him. So, let us give our time, talents and treasures, even in the most difficult times, because the difficult times are the best times to give. Never mind the side-talks of those that see it as a waste but make sure you give yourself first before other things. When you give your best, you’re laying up treasures in heaven. Quote Christ is our perfect example of giving Challenge Start by giving your life to Christ. Prayer for today Lord, please give me the grace to give my best to you.
