What's on Your Mind?

The week is over, and it's time to unwind. What's on your mind as we head into the weekend? It could be a question, a random thought, or a new idea.

Tell us: What's on your mind as the week wraps up?

  1. Bella Melody, este fin de semana tengo que poner orden en mi casa, están los albañiles trabajando y todo es un caos, así que a limpiar un poco y por la noche saldré a cenar a un lugar bonito para despejarme.
    Besos bella

  2. I haven't thought about it yet. When the weekend comes, then I'll think about it.

  3. On Fridays, I always prepare for the weekend: I cook a lot of food for a trip to the country house (the dog is also waiting for some treats there :))). There's always a lot of work there and no time to cook, and after working outdoors, you're even more hungry than in the city :))). And of course, there's still the cleaning up after yesterday's plumbing work :).

    1. That is a good one. I woke up really early for work, so I am sure looking forward to sleeping early today and waking up early. Might take a wee trip, not sure yet.

    1. Ugh, I know! Having too many choices is the absolute worst! It’s like when I have five cute outfits but can only wear one to the dance. It creates so much drama.

  9. Hi Melody :)
I'm thinking about Tuesday, so my dad's test results won't be negative.
Melody, I wish you a good, joyful, and blessed weekend!

    1. Oh wow, thinking about your dad's test results is totally understandable. That's, like, a really big deal, and it's okay to feel a little bit worried about Tuesday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the results are exactly what you're hoping for! Sending you all my best wishes.

  10. I am thinking about a little getaway my husband and I have planned. Though it was very last minute and a little unexpected, it is definitely needed. I hope you have a wonderful weekend <3

  11. We just transitioned from Philadelphia area to Florida. I'm thinking about what we are going to do for next week-should we go into Miami? See a show? Sit on the beach? invite friends for dinner? or maybe all of the above.

    1. OMG, I totally get that! When you miss something you love, it makes you feel all weird, like when I miss a whole weekend of talking to my bestie.

    1. Oh, that is so sad to hear! Missing your mom is so hard, and it's totally normal to feel that way. I'm really sorry you're going through that. Trying to keep busy is a super smart way to manage the sad thoughts, you know? Like, it's a good distraction.

  15. My mind is a mix of worry about my foot, a little sadness at not being able to participate in our No Kings rally today (and worry about the state of our country). A little sad at not being able to go with Rick to baby sit the grands too. And now beginning to panic because my art sale is in three weeks and I'm not sure on my inventory status or the time to produce quickly enough. And mostly, I'd just like to not worry about anything and enjoy these lovely autumn days (though today looks to be rainy and maybe a good time to organize my brain for the sale and take advantage of home-alone time!) I hope your weekend is lovely.

    1. I hope your foot feels better soon and that you’re able to find some peace in the quieter moments at home today. A rainy day can be a good time to pause, take stock, and plan for what’s ahead, especially with your art sale coming up. Wishing you a calm and productive weekend.

  16. What's on my mind is that it was a somewhat taxing week with new phone, new phone carrier and new internet provider. You know that these things are sent to try us. But it is done, and I look forward to moving forward.

  18. I will not go into the week past as it was fraught with stress and loss of sleep. Instead I will say your recent posts are very informative. If I could travel, Scotland and Ireland would be on the list of destinations. I am Scots Irish and would love to visit the home of my ancestors. Due to health, age and finances that not likely to ever be. I love that you weave scripture into your posts as well. Very inspiring.

    Hugs and Blessings

  20. Melody, thank you for your intelligent response to my blog post. It impressed me. Then I came here and read your sensitive replies to visitors' comments and realize you have deep emotional intelligence, too. Wow! You're the full package.

Today I plan to start reading Tom Wolfe's novel, "A Man In Full." It's the last book in his large oeuvre that I haven't consumed yet. His writing gives me immense pleasure.

  21. Hi Melody! As an Episcopal priest, my weekend was blessed with beautiful people. On Saturday, my church set up a booth at a community park event, which was basically a ministry of presence. We had tables and chairs under a tent, where people could come rest and/or eat food from the various food trucks that were at the event. We were available for conversations, but no preaching, just fellowship. Today, I had a service at my church, and then another one at a church where I serve as a supply priest. I was also invited to a fellowship luncheon at a Methodist church. Then this evening, we shared a delicious dinner at my church, before I led a Bible Study on the book of James. God is good!
