What Are You Grateful for Today?

moments of gratitude tea cup

As we wrap up the week, let's take a moment to count our blessings. It could be a cup of coffee, a kind word, or a beautiful sunset.

Tell us: Share one thing you're feeling grateful for today.

I'll go first: I'm grateful for all of you!

I also read on two different blogs that Elephant's Child (Sue) has passed away. I am deeply saddened by this news, and I want us to keep her family in our prayers. Thank you.

I love this reminder, Melody! Today, I’m grateful for quiet moments that let me pause and really breathe sometimes it’s the little things, like a warm cup of coffee or the soft light of sunset, that make all the difference.

  3. I'm grateful for the somewhat unorthodox church I attend. Going to church was the furthest thing from my mind a few years ago, but now I hardly ever miss a Sunday.

  5. I am grateful for a lot of little things: home, health, friends, work, loved ones. The first coffee in the morning, a walk in the woods, and many small simple things that still manage to make me smile every time!

  7. It's hardest to feel gratitude when you're a little down. But that's precisely what's most valuable—experiencing this feeling in difficult times.

  15. Hi Melody,
Replying to your post, I can't help but say:
I'm grateful that my mother's checkup (after another 3 months) is okay. My mother was diagnosed with cancer a year ago and had surgery; my mother has checkups every 3 months.
Melody, my friend, I wish you a pleasant evening and a good weekend! Greetings from windy and cloudy, but warm, Poland!

  30. Great minds think alike, Melody! My sermon this morning was about being grateful for God's love, grace and blessings. I am thankful for my 2 congregations, my family (especially my 2 grandsons), and the time I get to spend working on my artwork. I am so sorry for your friend Sue's passing, and will add her to my prayers. Thanks for visiting my blog and blessings!

  33. Forgive me for being a week late to this post but I'm actually looking for a Trojan horse in which to sneak a response to reading your About section (since there's no place to comment there).

First off, I'm sorry your friend died. Grief is hard. My condolences.

Second, I'm grateful for my health. After almost dying twice earlier this year I no longer take life for granted. I fell badly a few days ago but the injuries are healing so I'm grateful they weren't worse.

Finally, regarding your About page: wow! Not only are you admirable, you sound very much like me. "I love writing, wearing beautiful dresses, and exploring new places" -- that could have come from my (fountain) pen! We share the same interests which rarely happens to me. Your blog (the window into your life and mind) has just become a must-read for me. :)
