It is winter season and the cold isn't so friendly. Of all the recent coat designs in the last 5 years, I will say puffer coats are the best. They are so warm and still gives you a chic look. I love to wear comfortable fashionable coats during winter but most times pretty coats are light and not so covered. Puffer coats and teddy coat do the job. Some puffer coats are waterproof and they are very durable.
Puffer jackets feel like you are wrapped inside a duvet and you just go out with such a warm feeling. When purchasing puffer jackets/coats here are things to consider.
1. Buy one size bigger (The bigger the better).
2. Buy puffer coats with bigger collars. (Hoodies).
3. Buy puffer coats with long length (Maxi puffer coat cover more).
4. Black puffer coats are more versatile.
5. Cropped puffer coats are fashionable but what about your lower body parts.

These are really cool and nice.
DeleteI've been looking at puffer coats but mostly the cropped ones. Yesterday it was cold, wet and windy here and as I was walking across a parking lot in my parka, I realized the top of me was pretty comfortable but my legs (even though I was wearing jeans) were chilly, so I probably need to be looking at the longer ones. The only problem with that would be that I'd have only had about 5 days this winter (so far) that I could have worn something that warm - we have pretty mild winters and this one is one of the really mild ones. I love your picks and I even seen one shown that is being worn with a belt - I like that idea!

I totally agree with you. Getting the long ones gives you more coverage. If you have mild winter then you can invest in a versatile puffer coat (I will recommend black). This will help you during the tough cold days.
DeleteGreat tips! I love a puffer with a shape so I look for one that has quilting and a cinched waist

Thank you. I appreciate.
DeleteThese are such fun coats and they look so cosy but they wouldn't get a lot of wear here in Brisbane so I don't have one, haha!

Thank you so much Jess
DeleteI tried this several years ago and had a terrible time with getting all of it to be straight. I eventually made some shorter, some longer and used that layout.
ReplyDeleteI live in a place where we have snow 10 months out of the year! So I am all about having an extensive coat wardrobe. My long puffer coat is my go to on snow days!
