Thought for the day: Just one small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day.
Putting this list together with so much love and happiness, because for me, it's always the little big things that matter most. I've decided to create a birthday list this year, and topping it off is:

Answered prayers: Topping my list are answered prayers. Time to celebrate answered prayers. I have a list of requests I've brought to God, and I know without a doubt He's responded. Please join me in praising Him for His faithfulness.

Nature Reserves: Visiting some Nature Reserves. I'd absolutely love to visit at least two (or even three!). I'm working on a birthday itinerary, and the ones I'm planning to see are Loch Leven, Inversnaid Nature Reserve, and Black Devon Wetlands. My RSPB membership will make it super easy, too. I might even spend my birthday in a nature reserve – not sure yet.

Roxy 60's Style Retro Five In One Record Player System: I am totally eyeing this Roxy 5-in-1 Music System! I've always wanted a record player; I just love them, hahahahha, don't ask me why – I don't know, but I do. I love that it perfectly blends retro 60s style with modern tech like Bluetooth, plus I can finally play all my old vinyl and CDs. The ability to convert records to MP3s is a huge bonus too! This one is by Not On The High St.

My Favorite Braids Style: I've really missed having my long braids, and I've already booked an appointment. This is the braids style I'm going for – it's actually the same style I had when I first moved to Scotland.

Women's Downpour Tall Wellington Boot: As you know, I visit nature a lot, and having a long black rain boots that are solid is an absolute must-have for me. I have the short rain boots, but these long ones are so lovely and would offer way more coverage.

Day-Vine Beige Crystal Slingbacks: Okay, so these Beige Crystal Slingback Heels? Love at first sight! It's the whole package for me: the transparent heel, the sleek slingback style, that gorgeous beige, and naturally, the sparkling crystal design. Super practical too with the buckle fastenings and gripped soles. And a comfy 3.5" (9cm) heel? Yes please!!

So, I just watched this new movie on Netflix called A Widow's Game (or La Viuda Negra in Spanish), and let me tell you, it's based on a real story that dropped on Netflix on May 30th. And it made me wonder: do people really act this crazy in real life?

Here’s the wild true crime tale it's based on:

Okay, so, on the morning of August 16, 2017, this guy named Antonio, who was 36 and worked as an industrial engineer, left his house in Valencia, Spain, to go to work. He lived in this neighborhood called Patraix with his wife, Maje (her full name’s María Jesús, but everyone just calls her Maje).

Anyway, get this—he didn’t even make it out of the garage. Some guy had been literally hiding among the cars and just jumped out and stabbed him. Right there. He died on the spot. It’s honestly so scary.

At first, the cops were like, "Yeah, this wasn’t a robbery," because nothing was stolen. But then it all started to unravel, and it turns out there was this whole creepy plan going on… and Maje, his wife, was right in the middle of it. Like, it was totally premeditated and super twisted.

The movie (and the real story) focuses on Maje. Before they even got married, she cheated on her fiancé, Antonio. He actually forgave her, but she didn't stop. Even after they finally tied the knot, despite his family not being happy about the cheating, Maje, a nurse, continued having affairs with multiple men. She was seeing a guy at her hospital, a doctor there, and even someone she met at a club, among others.

She always had excuses. One day, she came home late and told Antonio she was out with a friend. But when she put her phone down, a message popped up. He saw it, and they had a huge fight. Antonio told her he couldn't do it anymore and she needed to leave. But Maje wasn't having it; she brought up how he bought the house and she'd renovated it as per their agreement. He told her, "Either you leave, or I will leave," but Maje just wouldn't budge.

My Firmoo Glasses Review: Quality, Style & Value (M95077 & T36984)

Hey everyone! You know me – I'm a bit of a glasses hoarder. Okay, maybe more than a bit! My collection is, shall we say, extensive. So, when the opportunity came up to try out more frames from Firmoo UK, I initially thought, "Do I really need more glasses?"

But then, I had an idea. My dad was due for a new pair, and since I always have such a fantastic experience with Firmoo, I decided this was the perfect chance to snag two new pairs for him, courtesy of my latest collaboration. And spoiler alert: they're just as amazing as all my previous orders.

Unboxing My Latest Firmoo Finds: M95077 & T36984

The package arrived super fast – seriously, less than 7 days from order to my doorstep, which is brilliant. The unboxing is always satisfying. The quality of the packaging always protects the glasses perfectly.

This time around, I received two distinct styles for my dad:

  • SK: M95077 (The sleek gold pair)
  • SK: T36984 (The lovely black pair)

The black pair (T36984) instantly caught my eye. You know how much I love black; it literally fits with everything. It's such a classic choice, incredibly stylish, and practical for everyday use. The gold one (M95077) is also absolutely lovely and offers a great alternative for different outfits.

Let's dive into a topic that has significantly transformed my life recently. You know how life gets sometimes, right? Juggling all the things, trying to keep all the plates spinning, and sometimes… well, sometimes you just feel like you’re running on fumes, a bit wired, and definitely not as chill as you’d like to be. I’ve been there, trust me.

So, when Wild Nutrition reached out and sent over their Food-Grown® KSM-66 Ashwagandha Plus, I was genuinely intrigued. You guys know I'm all about natural ways to support my well-being, and I've heard whispers about Ashwagandha for ages and even written about it. You can read more about the health benefits of ashwagandha. But this isn't just any Ashwagandha. This is the Ashwagandha. And let me tell you, I’m so glad I gave it a go.

First things first, let's talk about Wild Nutrition as a brand. Their whole philosophy just resonates with me. Henrietta Norton, the founder, noticed this huge gap between what our bodies actually need from food and what most supplements offer – often synthetic stuff packed with fillers. Her mission? To empower women with nutrients and knowledge to thrive at every stage of life, all backed by the science of Food-Grown®. Basically, they're taking natural ingredients and fermenting them in a way that makes them easier for our bodies to recognise and absorb, just like real food. No nasties, no mega doses, just pure, effective goodness. That’s a massive tick in my book.

Now, about this specific product, the KSM-66 Ashwagandha Plus. This is actually one of their bestsellers, and honestly, I can totally see why.

From the get-go, I was impressed by the "relaxation + emotional balance" and "positive mood" claims. Who doesn't need a bit more of that in their life? But what really stood out was the fact that it contains KSM-66 Ashwagandha – apparently, the most scientifically-studied form out there. Plus, they’ve added their own scientifically-studied Magnesium, which we all know is brilliant for reducing tiredness and fatigue. Win-win, right?

I  just started taking two capsules a day, sometimes in the morning to tackle a busy day head-on, and other times in the evening to help me unwind before bed. It's super flexible, with or without food, which makes it easy to fit into my routine.

So, what have I actually felt? Let me tell you, it's been a noticeable shift. That nagging feeling of being on edge? Definitely dialled down. I feel a greater sense of calm and just generally more balanced emotionally. It’s like a gentle whisper to my nervous system, saying, "Hey, it's okay, you can breathe." And honestly, that positive mood boost? It’s real. I’ve found myself feeling more resilient to the everyday demands, which is something I truly cherish.

Green RSPB membership welcome book cover with bird logo.

If you remember, I mentioned that the last time we went to Loch Lomond, we signed up for the RSPB membership (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds). This includes free parking at all reserves covered by them. I want to share what the package came with for you all. It arrives in a brown envelope, not bulky, more like a file-type brown cardboard envelope with four corners.

What's Inside My RSPB Welcome Pack?

Here is a list of things that you get when you sign up for RSPB membership here in Scotland:

  • Book Cover: This is a green book cover that holds other items. It's titled "Welcome to your RSPB Membership" with the RSPB logo on it and features a cute, innocent-looking bird standing on a stick.

  • Get Started and Make the Most of Your Membership: This section has a thank you note at the beginning and talks about RSPB, their goals, and membership benefits. It highlights that you are a voice for nature and that you will receive the RSPB Membership magazine packed with news about birds and nature, along with ideas on what you can do to benefit wildlife in your homes and gardens.

You gain access to 170 reserves and enjoy free parking and nature. I, for one, have benefited from this, and I must say they are doing a good job with preserving nature and making it worthwhile each time we visit. Another benefit is receiving member discounts on some events at their nature reserves. You can see more events on rspb.org.uk/events for more information. There is also contact information listed in the magazines.

Diving into the RSPB Magazine

When you open it, you see the RSPB magazine, whose tagline is "Taking action for nature together." Depending on the year and season, we received the Spring/Summer 2025 issue. Its lead article, "Where Eagles Dare," highlights how the white-tailed eagle has made an incredible comeback.

The magazine also focuses on wetlands, with articles like "Stop the Killing: The Fight Against Crime Continues," and "Mist and Mysteries: Discover the Unique and Ancient Rathlin Island." Ben Andrew, an award-winning photographer, also shared his favorite species and places. He noted that the Jay is his favorite UK bird; he also likes the Turtle Dove, Dipper, and Mountain Hare, all explained further in the magazine.

amily Walk Through Lush Greenery in Darien

If you really want to stay healthy, you need to stop eating junk and exercise. Exercise doesn’t always mean lifting heavy weights or going to the gym. If you’re like me—someone who enjoys the gym but doesn’t always have time to go—you find other ways to stay active. My partner has a gym membership, so I join him sometimes, but I mostly stick to walking.

Lately, I’ve been wearing the Get Set 2-in-1 Multi-Train Shorts by Sweaty Betty during my walks. They’re perfect for staying comfortable while staying active. The inner short has 4-way stretch and wicks away sweat, while the looser outer layer gives more coverage. Plus, the side slip pockets are super handy for carrying small essentials. They’re designed for training, but honestly, they work great for everyday movement too.

We walk whenever we can, especially when the sun is out. We love the warmth, and our skin even glows more under the sun. Walking doesn’t feel like a chore when you’re enjoying nature. It becomes part of your life—and a simple, effective way to stay healthy.

I am absolutely stunned. Oh my gosh, some people are blessed with good voices, and John Legend is definitely one of them. He sounded even better than on his album; his voice is truly beautiful. I was smitten by his voice, and his energy was so calming and relaxing. I loved every minute of the show and enjoyed it so much; I'm so happy. It felt incredibly soothing, and my friend and I had a really good time.

John is so talented and plays the piano so well. His performance was outstanding. He used the stage effectively, and his energy was pure. I wish him and his family the very best on his tour.

The "Get Lifted" tour is all about his journey. He shared amazing insights and even told us about some songs he was part of that we didn't know he was. He has worked in the background with many popular musicians.

My Outfit for the John Legend Concert

For my outfit, I picked up this pink mini jumpsuit with flowers from River Island. I wanted something simple yet stylish and definitely a bit girly. To go with it, I chose some gold earrings and styled my trusty cornrows – honestly, the easiest hair ever. I love that I don't have to do anything with them.

I also put a little effort into my makeup. I spent more time blending and trying to get my face just right, even though I'm still learning. What matters is that I know how to work with my own face. For shoes, I wore my gold gladiator sandals from Zara, which I think I've only worn once before with my stylish green dress.

I went with a friend, and she was so happy when I invited her. I was glad she could make it. We've been chilling together since our days in Ukraine, and now we sometimes go out with her daughter – if you remember seeing a kid in some of my beach posts, that's her beautiful daughter.

Overall, I kept my look pretty simple. Since this is Scotland, I definitely brought a jacket – you can never be too sure with the weather here. Plus, I actually went to the gym yesterday in the rain and got a bit chilly, but I still enjoyed the walk and woke up feeling great.

So, did I nail the music tour outfit? Let me know. You can watch the clip on my Instagram:.
