Different ways to communicate with your friends and keep in touch.

Sometimes, we get carried away by our daily struggles and endeavours, but it is so important to stay in touch with our friends and make sure they are aware of our movements and life in general. This makes them feel special and closer to us. Having good friends is important says experts, who believe strong social ties can keep you happy. Some studies even suggest having the support of friends, family and neighbours could boost your chances of living a long and healthy life by up to 50 per cent.

Thankfully, there are ways of maintaining your friendships, no matter how busy you are: Nobody is an island, even the most relevant personalities do need a friend or someone to talk to whether in good or bad times.
I recently watched Whitney Houston's documentary and I was so sad, I could relate to her struggle, finding real friends and good love is one of the best things that can happen to anyone, she was a star but yet she wanted people around her especially her friend and husband Bobby Brown. It is very important to keep in touch, don't grow too big or careless and forget your friends when things get so hard you might not be able to call them and loneliness can lead to depression which is what we are fighting against in our society today.

Are you finding it very difficult to keep in touch with your friends? Here are some tips that will help you stay close to them even when the timing is very little.

1. Call them and tell them briefly about your day in a short conversation. This keeps them informed even if it's a short call, you stay connected and relevant to each other.
Make group calls with Google Hangouts. Google Hangouts will allow you to video chat with up to ten friends at once. Try to set a standing weekly or monthly date and time to catch up with a group of friends consistently. You can also use the text-messaging feature to simply remind one another of an upcoming call.

2 Send them comedy skits and jokes on Instagram (social media). Too busy but you come online to do one or two things, send your friends jokes and make them laugh, they will reply and this leads to a little chat that will require talking about the joke.

3 Not everyone likes chatting, I am not good at keeping in touch by chats, I will rather call, but if you would prefer to chat then you can send them messages.
If you find it difficult chating, you can subscribe to a text message app to send messages to different numbers every morning and night. You never know how far this can go.

4 Fix an outing day: if you aren't able to speak all week, you can fix an outing day to meet up and talk about the week, ease the stress and have good fun. This works for me so well.

5 If you are so far away and you can hardly reach them of lost every contact, pray for them.

Generally, it is often said that no one is too busy, you can create time to talk to whoever you think is important and deserves your attention, so never push it, it should be two-sided. Enjoy the process and have a healthy friendship.
